Ladies First: Women in Urban Music, the fifth annual Business of Hip-Hop/Urban Music Symposium, is presented by the Music Business/Management Department in the Professional Education Division. This panel creates a tremendous opportunity to engage students specifically around music business paradigms, issues, and approaches that garner success in urban genres.

We will bring in a strong caliber of women from across disciplines who shape urban music, as well as those who have risen through the ranks into top-level positions. This event examines past practices, challenges, and new horizons. Guests, faculty, and students engage in compelling, real-world dialogue, and the event features a performance by Berklee students and a Q&A session. This event is all-ages and open to the public.
